Annual multi-ward Christmas musical Dec. 17

All are invited to bring their singing voices and join in a musical sing-along titled “Jesus, Lord at Thy Birth” on December 17 at 7:00 p.m. at the Fallbrook Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 621 Stage Coach Lane.

This year the evening of music will be under the direction of Anne Renshaw with the ward choirs each contributing. The ward directors are Jack Holt, Catherine Fairbanks and Paul Hawkins. The narrator for the evening will be Gloria Mattson. Accompanists will be Valdean Irvine, Larilyn Loralyn Irvine and Karen Mitchell. Other features of the show will be an original composition written and accompanied by Shayne Kunz and read by Karen Jones.

The trio of Sarah Peterson, Alene Ahrend and Michelle Luckow will sing “There’s a Song in the Air.” Karen Mitchell will be performing a piano solo. A video slideshow will be set to the music of Mannheim Steamroller’s “Stille Nicht.” The choir will sing “God So Loved the World,” “Still, Still, Still,” “Nativity Medley” and “Jesus, Lord at Thy Birth.”

Karen Mitchell will also be the accompanist for the evening’s finale, the “Hallelujah Chorus,” which will include the choir and any members of the audience who would like to join in. The audience will also be asked to sing several other songs throughout the evening.

This Christmas program of love and joy promises to be a wonderful night for everyone. For information, contact Elaine Cole at (760) 451-5070.
