Fallbrook voices bring holiday cheer to hospitalized children

FALLBROOK — Santa’s sleigh will be loaded with compact discs as it heads to Children’s Hospital San Diego on December 14. The CDs, entitled “Holiday Magic 2006: A Gift for Children of All Ages,” are spirit of the season offerings of Greater San Diego singers and actors hoping to bring joy to children hospitalized during the holidays. Fallbrook voice actor Greg Dehm and vocal artist Robin Adler have donated their talents to GelderHead Productions, producers of this project, which has delivered thousands of CDs to Children’s Hospital San Diego patients and their siblings over the past four years.

In this year’s captivating tale, Dehm, a veteran of two prior Holiday Magic productions, cleverly crafts the character of Carlito, a fictional reindeer at the San Diego Wild Animal Park who assists Santa in his delivery efforts. A touching story, weaving animals, reptiles and birds – even Sandy the Snow Owl enchanted by Adler – it will bring a St. Nick twinkle, if not a glisten, to the eyes of the CD recipients. “It is truly amazing what a kinetic pairing creativity and care for others make,” shared Dehm.

Producer Jeff Gelder, Dehm and others associated with the Holiday Magic CD – maybe even Santa himself – will deliver the packages to Children’s Hospital. Those wanting to help put even more CDs into the hands and hearts of children confined to the hospital over the holidays are encouraged to donate to the ongoing project.
