Jingle Bell Workout: fresh air, fitness, fun and food!

The Community Center-based Get Fit Dancerobics class is continuing its annual Jingle Bell Christmas Workout in the Square. Every year the fitness class dresses in holiday gear and works out in the fresh air of the downtown square just before Christmas. This year the event will be on Friday, December 22, from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. and will be followed by even more fun and community spirit.

This event, which is free and is open to all, is expanding this year and supporting downtown vendors. Following the holiday workout, participants will go on a Poker Walk by collecting playing cards from vendors such as At Home on Main, Yesterday’s, Labors of Love, Caravan, Lemonchellos, Morgan Hill Furnishings, Casuelle’s Natural Nail and the Jewelry Connection, who will open early for the festivities. Other downtown vendors may also open early to welcome downtown shoppers and the jolly group.

Meeting back at Caffé Primo for a celebratory cookie exchange, the participants with the best poker hands will win first-, second- and third- place prizes. (Participants who wish to participate in the cookie exchange are asked to bring three dozen cookies to Caffé Primo at 8 a.m., then head over with the group to the square.)
