A sincere thank you

Now that the election is over and I have celebrated Thanksgiving with my family, I want to express one more thanks: a very heartfelt, sincere thanks to those who supported me, voted for me and placed their trust in me.

Although we did not prevail in the campaign for the 66th District Assembly seat, I truly enjoyed meeting the voters and hearing their concerns. That’s why, even though this election is over, we must continue to insist that our elected officials represent all of us, not just those who contributed to their campaigns. We must hold our elected representatives accountable so they act in the best interest of the community, the district they represent and the state as a whole.

It has been indeed an honor to get to know so many of my neighbors and members of the community. Best wishes to all for a happy holiday and a wonderful new year.

Laurel Nicholson
