Plackemeier, Leinart no strangers

In 2000 Ryan Plackemeier was an intern for the Fallbrook/Bonsall Village News as well as a member of Fallbrook High School’s football team.

On September 8, 2000, Fallbrook traveled to Mater Dei for a match against that Orange County school. Plackemeier played in the game and also wrote the story about the Warriors’ loss to Mater Dei.

Plackemeier’s story appeared in the September 14, 2000, issue of the Village News. It included notice of the Mater Dei quarterback, Matt Leinart.

Plackemeier will be noticing Leinart again this Sunday, December 10. They are now both rookies in the National Football League; Plackemeier punts for the Seattle Seahawks and is also the holder for placekicks, and Leinart has become the starting quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals.
