BUGs recognized at Live Oak

Seven fourth-graders were recently recognized at Live Oak Elementary because they love BUGs (Bringing Up Grades)!

Each of the seven recipients brought up one grade while maintaining grades in other subject areas during the first grading period. All BUG recipient names are placed on the school’s BUG Honor Roll and students were recognized at the Awards Assembly on December 1. Individuals honored included Cassandra Batty, John Morales, Irina Johnson, Zalena Chavez, Mario Gonzalez, Marina Lopez Casteneda and Jose Antonio Ruiz.

The Kiwanis Club of Fallbrook sponsors the program and Walt Schuette (Lt. Gov. Elect, Kiwanis Division 37) presented each student with a certificate, BUG pin, glitter pencil and much well-deserved praise. Home Town Buffet supports the BUG program by providing a free meal pass to each student. In addition, a school banner and bulletin board displaying all the BUG recipients proudly brags about all the students who love BUGs!
