Fallbrook Rotary honors FUESD Employees of Month

Fallbrook Union Elementary School District (FUESD) employees Ray Proctor, Assistant Superintendent, Business Services, and Frank Stoudek, Director of Facilities and Maintenance, were recognized by FUESD Superintendent and Fallbrook Rotarian Janice Shultz at a recent meeting of the Rotary Club of Fallbrook.

Proctor, with the district since 1993, was instrumental in an aggressive two-year push to complete modernization of six schools, saving money and allowing the district to complete within the $32 million bond budget. An additional $11 million in state money and grants will allow remodeling of two libraries and installation of three new buildings. The Potter Junior High gym groundbreaking is scheduled for December 4. A $3.5 million grant is funding an Early Childhood Center (ECC), with groundbreaking scheduled for January. Schultz also recognized Fallbrook Rotarian Connie Fisch, who wrote the grant for the $3.5 million ECC.

Stoudek, with FUESD since June 2004, oversees the facilities and maintenance budget, which ranges annually from $1.5 to $2 million, and is the main watchdog of projects such as the ECC and the gym.
