'Holiday Settings' raises money for scholarships

For the 15th year, the Fallbrook Hospital Auxiliary presented a remarkable luncheon with a very personal touch that will benefit deserving high school students looking to make a career in a medical-related field.

On December 7, the organization, led by President Betty Long and Event Chairman Sharon Heincy, held their “Holiday Settings” luncheon at the Grand Tradition. Creative auxiliary members magnificently decorated 20 tables in holiday themes with place settings from their own personal collections.

From velvety poinsettias to sparkling snowmen and glistening holly berries, the tables were a sight to behold. Holiday tunes by the Jack Story band added to the ambiance of the event.

Opportunity drawings for over three dozen valuable prizes and a silent auction featuring items such as a $1,000 casino gift package, golf, hotel stays and more were held at the event to raise funds for a number of scholarships the organization presents each year to high school graduates and college students.
