Challenging a Guinness World Record

Librarian Bev Sherman and Andrew Schmidt, 11, are two of 702 readers at La Paloma Elementary School who joined over 500,000 other readers in 2,451 locations, in 50 states and 28 countries, on December 13 in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for “Most People Reading Aloud Simultaneously in Multiple Locations.” The old record was 155,528 readers.
