Fallbrook Library announces January events

Programs for adults

Book Talk takes place at Fallbrook Public Utility District, 990 East Mission Road. The next discussion (Thursday, January 11, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.), facilitated by Lynette Wood, will be on the book “My Brother Michael” by Mary Stewart. Individual computer instruction, “How to Help with Computerized Information,” is offered by appointment on Thursdays between 9 and 10 a.m. Phone: (760) 728-2373.

On Thursday, January 18, from 9 to 10 a.m. Senior Net instructor Jaycita Byrne will offer “Introduction to E-mail and Internet.” Those interested are asked to sign up at the reference desk.

Friends of the Fallbrook Library will hold their next board meeting Tuesday, January 16, at 2 p.m. at the Art Studio, 310 East Alvarado Street.

Programs for all ages

“Origami for Everyone,” with instructor Sylver Kinsella, will be held Monday, January 29, at 4 p.m.

Programs for children

English and Spanish Bilingual Storytime for ages 3 to 5 is held every Wednesday at noon. In addition, Preschool Storytime and Craft is held every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.

A “Make It & Take It” craft with volunteer Jo Siva will be held Tuesday, January 9, from 3 to 4 p.m. Participants will make bookmarks. (This program is intended for school-age children.)

The Grandparents and Books program’s “Read with Grandpa Larry” takes place every Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Programs for teens

“Superman Revealed: The History of Superman,” a presentation with film clips, will be presented by Steve Sanders Thursday, January 11, at 4 p.m.
