Boys & Girls Club after-school groups perform holiday show, art winners recognized

FALLBROOK — On December 15, the Maie Ellis Elementary School cafeteria was filled to bursting with proud families and friends. Everyone was there to enjoy the holiday program performed by members of the Fallbrook Street and Maie Ellis Boys & Girls Club After-School Program. Over 100 children in grades K-3 sang, danced and played their instruments to holiday classics. In addition, hot cocoa and cookies were served.

“We were really happy with the turnout; it gives family and friends a chance to see some of the programs we work on after school,” said Lisa Ware, director of operations. “The staff, music director, members – everyone... worked hard to make this a success. What a wonderful way to start the holiday break.”
