Winter shelter needs help

The Bread of Life Rescue Mission in Oceanside needs help in funding its winter shelter. Money is needed for rent, supplies and insurance, among other necessities. Many homeless people have few options when it comes to shelter during the freezing cold nights that North County has been having, especially since there are not very many shelters in this area.

Bread of Life opened its shelter on December 1 and will operate it seven nights a week until April 15. Last year it provided shelter for over 5,000 guests while providing hot meals. Volunteers are needed once again to prepare and serve mea...
