Supervisors grant time extension for Bonsall tract

The San Diego County Board of Supervisors granted a time extension to complete improvements for a 29.78-acre subdivision in Bonsall.

The supervisors’ December 6 action extends the time for performance completion to September 24, 2008. The subdivision will consist of 13 single-family residential lots along Catherine Road about 950 feet east of Sleeping Indian Road and about 1,300 feet south of Puerta de Lomas.

The final map for the project was approved in September 1998. At that time the supervisors authorized the execution of a lien contract as security in lieu of posting the standard improvement security, and the supervisors also executed a holding agreement which transferred title of the property to a holding company to ensure that no lots would be sold. Time extensions were granted in 2000, 2002, and 2004, but the G-Three LLC ownership does not wish to construct the subdivision at this time and requested the time extension from September 24, 2006. The time extension was requested prior to its expiration, and the two-year extension will ensure that the responsibility for constructing the needed infrastructure will remain with the owner as well as maintaining the G-Three LLC development rights to the project.

Prior to the actual construction, the lien contract must be replaced with a surety bond or a letter of credit.
