Bonsall Woman's Club makes 'Magic' again

You can always count on the ladies of the Bonsall Woman’s Club to put ‘Magic’ into the holidays and work hard to raise much-needed funds for numerous charitable endeavors. While their annual ‘Magic of Christmas’ festivities have had slight adjustments over the years, and been offered in different venues, the light of hope brought by this organization to others makes not only the holidays a little brighter, but for those on the receiving end of their generosity, it sets the stage for successful programs in the new year.

This year, the organization held two days of magnificent Victorian-style teas in the Beverly Manor of the Grand Tradition. Members of the club served guests piping hot tea, delicious fruit-flavored scones fresh from the oven, chicken salad sandwiches on miniature croissants, savory antipasto kebobs and decadent bar cookies. Tables were lavishly decorated with members’ personal holiday settings and arrangements resplendent with red roses.

Hundreds of area residents supported this year’s Magic of Christmas events by purchasing tickets to the teas or chances in the opportunity drawings to win beautifully decorated Christmas trees and upscale gift baskets.

Part of the glorious presentation of the Magic of Christmas teas this year included a fabulous performance by the Sullivan Middle School Show Choir of Bonsall. Tremendous talent and organization was apparent as this large group of students demonstrated their vocal range, versatility of style and skill.
