A free Beginning Painting on Gourds class will be held Monday evening, January 29, from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. for first-time students at the Murrieta home of instructor Barbara McDermott. Students will learn the basics of painting, including use of brushes, paints and supplies, preparing the gourd, base-coating and how to paint a design on the gourd.
