Quilt Guild announces January meeting

“No Time to Sew” is the title of our January 4 meeting. Our lecturer is Kathy Van Bruggen from Orange County. Kathy started at an early age sewing dolls clothes while watching her mother create costumes. She was later hired by Catalina Swimwear as a production manager and sample maker. She began quilting as a hobby in 1995 using timesaving appliqué techniques that she will teach us at the workshop. Kathy developed “Appliqué the Easy Way” and enjoys creating botanically correct flowers, birds and woodland creatures in her designs.

The Fallbrook Quilt Guild meets at the Community Center, 341 Heald Lane, at 6:30 p.m. January 4. The workshop will be Saturday, January 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Fallbrook Public Utility District, 990 East Mission Road. The community is welcome to come to the meeting and workshop.
