Fight cancer: take orders for Daffodil Days

Brighten your life and join the fight against cancer by volunteering as a Daffodil Days representative during the American Cancer Society’s 24th annual Daffodil Days Campaign. Volunteers are needed to take orders at their work sites for the bright yellow flowers now through Wednesday, February 21, with deliveries scheduled for the week of March 12-16.

Proceeds from the sale of the first flower of spring – and the symbol of hope – support critical research that can make a healthy future possible for many San Diegans. Funds will also be used for local education and patient services for all types of cancer. Current statistics indicate that some 11,600 San Diegans will be diagnosed with some form of cancer in the coming year and more than 4,700 will die of the disease.

Interested reps will be invited to a kick-off party in early January to learn how to conduct a successful campaign. Please call (619) 682-7474 for information on how you can help fight cancer in San Diego County by becoming a Daffodil Days representative.
