PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

This past year, our whole Bonsall Chamber Board worked hard on all our events. We have had a good time planning and executing our events. All our folks have received well earned thanks for their contributions.

When handing out “kudos” for various Bonsall folks who went way beyond normal efforts in supporting and enhancing the attributes of our small town, we must salute Mary Jane Poulter. She is a one person dynamo. She doesn’t want to be a board member but she does want to be involved with various events that she enjoys. Well, she seems to enjoy most everything!

Mary Jane was the main person involved with our fine printed Bonsall Directory. Our print copy is readily available to anyone coming into the Chamber office or calling to request a copy. The online version is combined with our web site: http://www.bonsallchamber.org.

The golf tournament, which is helpful in building our cash reserves, was directed and managed by Mary Jane and her minions.

Our Sheriffs Appreciation Day in September was the brain child of Mary Jane and she has always arranged the event including seeing that the right people attend and are honored.

The Bonsall Annual Award/Installation Dinner also has Mary Jane’s finger prints all over the whole event. This year she set the theme, arranged the place settings and saw to it that the presentations were of high quality and much deserved.

Her Christmas contribution includes the gift gathering and distribution to many needy children in our community. We use our Annual Christmas Pot Luck as a fun vehicle to collect many of the gifts for the children.

And last but not least, this newsletter that you are now reading would not exist without Mary Jane. Each month, Mary Jane figures out which businesses to highlight and what information to share with our community. And then she trots out to take photos and write up the copy, getting it all organized for the Village News.

Mary Jane Poulter, a remarkable woman and a huge asset to our fine community!
