Retirement course offered Jan. 10

Kent Borsch, the local Edward Jones investment representative, will host “The Retirement Survival Guide” broadcast course for CPAs, attorneys, enrolled agents and tax professionals at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 10, at 5256 South Mission Road, Suite 807.

This panel discussion featuring legal and tax experts is designed to help tax and legal professionals assist their clients in properly preparing for retirement. It explores the steps individuals can take to develop retirement goals and show them how to support those retirement goals through saving and investing.

Topics covered include how to develop retirement goals and the action plan to meet those goals; the role of Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid in retirement planning; when clients should consider long-term care insurance; using the home to finance retirement goals; and financing a retirement – Qualified plan, IRA and non-tax-qualified savings opportunities.
