Man shot, killed in Fallbrook

FALLBROOK- The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department has reported that a Hispanic male was shot and killed outside Fallbrook Village Apartments, 713 Elder Street, at approximately 6 p.m. on Sunday night, January 7.

Deputies arrived at the scene at approximately 6:04 p.m. and found the male adult lying in front of the apartment complex. Although paramedics rendered first aid to the victim, they were unable to revive him and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Early reports indicate the victim was “involved in some type of altercation with at least one other male individual immediately preceding the shooting.” Homicide detectives have not yet established a motive for this crime.

The San Diego County Medical Examiners Office said a positive identification has not yet been made on the victim.
