Dispose of hazardous, electronic, universal waste

The County of San Diego Department of Environmental Health will hold a Household Hazardous Waste, Electronic and Universal Waste Collection Event for unincorporated area residents only on Saturday, January 13, at Valley Center and Pauma Unified School District, 28751 Cole Grade Road, Valley Center. The hours of operation will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Residents are asked to remember that the legal Household Hazardous Waste transport limit is 15 gallons, or 125 pounds. All container labels must be clear. (Containers whose labels have worn off must be re-labeled.) All containers must be sealed and not leaking. Different products must not be mixed in one container. Hazardous waste must be transported in the trunk of the car or in another area away from passengers and pets.
