Dehm to plan local historical events

Attorney Marisa Dehm of Dehm & Dehm has completed the Meeting Management and Special Events Planner Program offered by UCSD Extension at its La Jolla campus. The certificate, granted after successful completion of 81 hours of coursework specific to the event and meeting planning industry, was awarded by UCSD on November 15, 2006.

Dehm enrolled in the acclaimed San Diego program in order to enhance her volunteer efforts in Fallbrook – specifically on behalf of the Fallbrook Historical Society. “My professors at UCSD impressed upon me the need for volunteer involvement close to home. I can’t think of a better way to honor Fallbrook than by assisting with events profiling our community and held at the Fallbrook Historical Society.”

The inaugural event, to be held at the Fallbrook Historical Society throughout March, is “Come into the Kitchen,” a look at Fallbrook’s culinary efforts of times past. Dehm is excited to plan this event with Steering Committee Co-Chair Bev McDougal.

The Fallbrook Historical Society, located at 260 Rocky Crest in Fallbrook, is regularly open Thursday and Sunday between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. but anticipates special hours for this event.
