Reality TV comes to Fallbrook

Hollywood celebrities Tori Spelling, 33, and her husband of eight months, Dean McDermott, 40, made themselves at home while perusing the quaint shops of downtown Fallbrook on January 4 as reality television camera crews trailed in their wake.

The couple, who were friendly to local shopkeepers, disclosed that they were looking at purchasing an upscale bed and breakfast property to own and run in Fallbrook and intend to film their show around the Friendly Village for “the next couple of months.” Heather McQuerry, co-manager of Ooh La La Lingerie Boutique (127 North Main, Suite C), described her experience with the celebrities as “surreal” and says the couple spent about an hour in her shop and bought “an assortment of things.” Spelling told McQuerry that she was 7 ½ months pregnant with her first child.

“They bought some fun stuff, like a full-on outfit for her,” McQuerry said. “They had a really good time here. It was really nice because they kept saying what a cute store we had.”
