BetterWorld Together Foundation makes check presentation

FALLBROOK — Paul Garrett’s BetterWorld Together Foundation has made a $15,000 grant to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of North County’s MTV Program at the Ingold Unit in Fallbrook.

Club music teacher Jan Conry-Oliveras stated, “The MTV Program stands for Music, Theater and Visual Arts. The program provides instruction in guitar, piano, percussion, voice and recording techniques. Opportunities to perform include talent shows and musical theater productions. The grant also supports the Visual Arts Program, which provides daily arts and craft projects, plus the annual Arts and Crafts show.”

“Over 50 children participate daily in these fine art programs,” Oliveras added. “All of these activities are provided at no charge to our members.”

Membership at the club is only $25 per year. No child is ever turned away due to financial hardship. For more information on the “Positive Place for Kids,” call the club at (760) 728-5871.
