The store also carries its share of sensible garments such as Mycra Pac, a two-sided rain- and wind-resistant coat that is sold with its own matching travel bag. “It has brains and beauty – a rare combination,” said Leslie Sommers, owner.

Caravan also carries exquisite shoes from Palovio, Drama and Pretty. “Everything is first quality, but I love a good deal and I always pass the savings on,” Sommers commented.

Lemonchello’s boutique, owned by Kristin Barbato, is located in Jackson Square. She chose the name because her husband is Italian and “Limoncello” is an Italian liqueur. She spells it “Lemon” instead of “Limon” because it is easier to pronounce.

This cozy store has many exciting and unique items such as Mary Frances handbags, which are works of art. Mary Frances utilizes luminous fabrics, beadwork and stones to trim her handbags. Lemonchello’s also carries sparkling Swarovski crystal belts as well as a selection of clothing items, which are equally lovely.

“Through the red door… explore a feast for the senses,” says Marie Kinnaman, owner of At Home on Main, a downtown boutique that recently began to carry clothes in addition to its exotic repertoire of gifts and decorator items.

“I wanted to create a store where the senses came alive,” she said.

Marie carries a beautiful collection of silky robes and other Asian clothing. She also carries something quite unique: clothing made from bamboo! It is surprisingly soft to the touch and breathes well. Browsers in her store will also discover a line of bamboo sheets.

With Beach Boys tunes in the background, you can find sporty and Island-inspired pieces of Tommy Bahama’s fine clothing line at the Jasmine Rose Boutique owned by Jason and Carrie Shadle. Half of the store is dedicated to men’s clothing and women’s clothing fills the remaining shelves. “We are the only men’s clothing store in town,” said Jason.

Jasmine Rose also carries Hobo handbags and Tommy Bahama fragrances. The Tommy Bahama spring fashions have a nautical twist, with lots of blues, due to the upcoming America’s Cup regatta that will take place this April in Valencia, Spain.
