Senior Cribbage begins new year

On the fourth Thursday of the month cribbage players gather at the Vista Elks Lodge at 1947 East Vista Way. The match consists of seven games against seven different opponents. Most of the players play at the Oceanside and Fallbrook Senior Centers on Mondays.

Anyone who enjoys cribbage can come and join the fun. Participants do not need to reside in Oceanside or Fallbrook to play.

The first match of 2007 will be held on January 25. Play begins at 12:30 p.m. The Elks serve lunch beginning at 11:30, so come early and have lunch before the play begins.

After more than five years of playing the Fallbrook Senior Center cribbage team leads the series with 34 wins to Oceanside Senior Center’s team 24 wins. Fallbrook won the last three matches in 2006.
