Michael John Durante

Michael John Durante, 86, passed away January 18, 2007, in Oceanside, CA. He was born December 13, 1920, in New York, NY.

Mr. Durante worked as a barber, substitute elementary school teacher and real estate agent. He was a radio officer for the Merchant Marines during WWII in the Atlantic War Zone, Mediterranean War Zone and Asian War Zone. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Miami, FL, for many years.

Mr. Durante is survived by his wife of 60 years, Priscilla Ann Durante; sons Robert Alan Durante, Fallbrook, and Michael J. Durante Jr., Wellington, FL; daughters Patty (John) Hagan, Fallbrook, and Mary (John) Fierfelder, Wellington, FL; brother Gabriel Durante, New York, NY; sisters Nettie Domino, New York, NY, and Viola Phillips, Hollywood, FL; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass was held January 24, 2007, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with burial following at Riverside National Cemetery.
