AFS holding info night

The American Field Service (AFS) will have a general information night on Tuesday, January 30, at the Valley Oaks Mobile Home Park Social Hall, 3909 Reche Road, Fallbrook, from 7 to 9 p.m. This event is open to students and their parents who are interested in AFS programs abroad or hosting students in the US.

AFS volunteers and staff will present a historical background of AFS, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2007. Special emphasis will be placed on the various summer, semester and full-year programs abroad. These programs consist of homestays, homestays with language study and homestays with community service components. Scholarships and financial aid will also be presented. The San Diego hosting coordinator will share information on the US hosting program.
