Michael Ray Schultz

Michael Ray Schultz went to be with his Lord on December 3, 2006, in Tehachapi, CA. Born March 28, 1951, in Fallbrook, Mike attended Vallecitos Elementary School, Fallbrook High, Palomar Community College and Christian Heritage College, where he graduated with a degree in aeronautical engineering.

In high school, Mike was active in FFA, where he served as Chapter President. He was a member of Rainbow Community Church and Rainbow Valley Grange, where he served as Grange Master. In 1971, Mike was chosen Outstanding Young Granger for California and in 1972 was given the same title by the National Grange. During this period of his life, he was also selected to visit Russia by the “People to People” project.

Most of Mike’s adult life was spent in the aviation industry, including nearly ten years with Burt Rutan’s company building experimental type aircraft.

Mike is survived by his wife Christina; sons Daniel and David; daughter Angela; sisters Sandra Reeves (Bill), Magalia, CA, and Pamela Beldon (Lee), Brownsville, CA; brother Thomas Schultz (Linda), Lancaster, CA; foster sister Pat McDougal (Don), Fallbrook; foster sister Pamela Cook, Fallbrook; stepfather Ross Daily, De Luz; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by niece Erin Schultz and his parents, Rowland and Daisy Schultz.

A memorial celebration of Michael’s life was held January 13, 2007, at Tehachapi’s Mountain Bible Church, a church he served faithfully for over 20 years.
