Save Our Forest presents Pruning Seminar February 10

FALLBROOK- Just in time for pruning, Save Our Forest/Fallbrook Land Conservancy brings Mark Wisniewski to Fallbrook to give a beginner and refresher course in proper pruning methods. Wisniewski, a renowned State Certified Arborist, has made several presentations locally. He will demonstrate the basics, uses of the right tools, what to prune and what to leave alone, structural pruning, and tell when to do it all.

Often early structural pruning can save a homeowner thousands of dollars in future years. Jackie Heyneman compares trees to children saying, “Trees need the proper upbringing and shaping in their early years to achieve the desired mature, adult life. And like our children, left unattended, they can become problems later on.”

This seminar is important to residents who may hire others to do their pruning also. Knowing the proper methods ensures that they make knowledgeable inquiry into credentials, instructions as to what they want done, and their expectations can make a vital difference in the finished work.

Correcting problems in mature trees is possible with vision, steps to correct the problem to achieve the desired effect and needs for one’s property.

The seminar will be on February 10, 2007, 9 – 12 at the Palomares House, 1845 S. Stage Coach Lane. All residents of the area are invited to join the group.
