Community Projects funds awarded to Village Assn., Boys and Girls Club

A January 30 vote of the San Diego County Board of Supervisors authorized the award of $15,000 of District Five Community Projects funds to the Fallbrook Village Association and $10,000 of District Five Community Projects funds to the Boys and Girls Club of North County.

The grant to the Village Association will fund the update of a redevelopment district study while the money for the Boys and Girls Club will help cover costs for their annual auction and dinner ball.

The Fallbrook Village Association has been active in development of the Downtown village area, including the development of additional resources for the artists and businesses in the area. The Community Projects award will allow for expert analysis as part of the update of the redevelopment district study.

The Boys and Girls Club of North County has Fallbrook, Pala, and Bonsall locations and offers programs which promote and enhance the development of local youth through instilling confidence and a sense of usefulness, belonging, and influence. All Boys and Girls Club activities are under adult supervision. The Boys and Girls Club has an annual auction and dinner ball, and the proceeds of that event are used to enhance services and programs available to the Fallbrook, Pala, and Bonsall participants.
