Pacific Coast appoints Mallon construction loan officer

SAN CLEMENTE — Laurie Mallon has been named vice president and construction loan officer at the Encinitas office of Pacific Coast National Bank. Mallon was most recently a loan officer/underwriter with Temecula Valley Bank and Southwest Community Bank. She also has held positions in real estate loan processing with the former Rancho Santa Fe Bank and has experience in construction fund control, overseeing the life of a construction project.

Michael Hahn, the bank’s president and chief operating officer, said, “Laurie is filling an increasingly important part of Pacific Coast’s business plan, bringing over six years of community bank real estate lending to the table. She came up through the ranks and I consider her an expert in seeing a construction project through to its successful conclusion.”

Mallon said that construction loans are unique in that they need to be managed to the completion of the project. “I stay active in the life of the loan, from loan initiation and approval, through the loan draw-down process,” she added.

Pacific Coast National Bank offers a broad range of commercial and consumer banking services with offices in San Clemente and Encinitas. Shares are offered under the symbol PCST.ob. For more information, visit http://www.pacificcoastnationalbank.com.
