Battle of the Bands coming in April

FALLBROOK — It doesn’t matter if the band plays at parties, dances or just in a garage; Fallbrook’s First Annual Battle of the Bands is open to all bands with members between 13 and 19 years of age. Each band selected will set up and perform on April 21 and battle it out for a $200 first place cash award, trophies, other donated prizes and bragging rights!

This is not an air band, karaoke or lip synch contest; this is the real deal! Bands must have three or more members who actually sing or play instruments. A completed application, band photo and CD or tape with at least three songs must be submitted to the Fallbrook Community Center office on March 23 by 5:30 p.m. The top bands will be invited to perform on April 21 in front of an audience and be rated by a panel of judges, which will include local musicians.

The Battle of the Bands is sponsored by Friends of Fallbrook Community Center and County of San Diego Parks and Recreation. For more information, call (760) 728-1671.
