Local printmakers to exhibit at California Center for the Arts

Twenty-one members of the San Diego and North County Printmakers will show their work at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido Museum, in an exhibition titled “Following the Paper Trail: Exploring the Art of Contemporary Printmaking.” An opening reception will be held Saturday, March 3, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

The Printmakers, organized locally in 1997, are located at The Art Campus at Fallbrook. Group President N. Dixon Fish will lead a demonstration of printmaking methods for students and the public at In Studio on April 27 from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. Attendance is free with general admission.

The exhibition, an overview of many printmaking techniques from classic etchings and woodcuts to contemporary monotypes and monoprints, runs through July 4. Museum hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. For more information or group tours, please call (760) 839-4120 or visit http://www.artcenter.org.
