Ritter hired to FAVB

FALLBROOK — Yet another sign of growth is coming from the Fallbrook Area Visitor’s Bureau (FAVB) as they bring Elizabeth Ritter, an experienced and educated event planner, onboard as a full-time special events coordinator.

Ritter grew up in Fallbrook and returns after working with the Downtown Encinitas Main Street Association. She is pleased to join the group and admires the fact that it is made of people “who love and care about Fallbrook” and are part of the FAVB by choice.

Ritter was introduced to the group by FAVB President Don McDougal, who was aware of her background and had employed her at the Grand Tradition while she was in high school.

Rhonda Reinke, executive director of FAVB, interviewed candidates for the position and choose Ritter because “she was the whole package.” Reinke believes Ritter will help facilitate FAVB’s ability to take Local Events “to the next level.”

It is the desire of the FAVB to assist nonprofits and organizations, which oftentimes have volunteers who change on an annual basis and may not have the experience or history that Ritter will now be able to provide them.

“She will be a tremendous asset,” assured McDougal.

Ritter’s responsibilities will include acting as an assistant to the executive director, aiding in coordinating community events and facilitating marketing for Fallbrook tourism.
