AAUW to present Holocaust survivor

The Fallbrook Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) presents holocaust survivor Gussie Zaks at its general meeting Saturday, March 10, at 10 a.m. at the Fallbrook Public Utility District Building, 990 East Mission.

Zaks was born in Poland in 1926. One year after the Nazis invaded Poland, at the tender age of 14, Zaks was sent to the first of several Nazi labor camps in Germany. Her last camp was the infamous death camp Bergen Belsen, where on April 15, 1945, she was liberated by the British Armed Forces. Fifteen months later she was reunited with and adopted by her...
