Free workshop offered on healthy ways to release stress

BONSALL — The Stream will host a free workshop that explores healthy ways to change the way we feel and to alter habits that prevent us from being energized, relaxed and well. The event is “Sex, Drugs or the Source,” and it will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 4, in Rancho Penasquitos. It is free of charge and all are invited.

“What are we looking for from sex, money, drugs, alcohol, family, work, food – you name it?” asked Beth Green, spiritual director of The Stream. “People are looking to feel safe, relaxed, energized and loved, and we use all kinds of behaviors and substances to achieve those states.

“But do they work? Take money, for example. Does money actually make us feel safe, or do we stress out about how to get it and how to keep it? Does sex help us feel loved and relaxed, or do we stress out about how we are performing and whether or not we’re going to be satisfied? Do drugs and alcohol energize or relax us, or do they take us out of reality for a short time and then drop us onto a hard landing?”

“Sex, Drugs or the Source” explores alternatives to addiction, a slower but surer way that takes work and dedication but leads to a life of true relaxation and true ecstasy. According to Green, these are not platitudes or empty promises. The Stream has developed programs that have already helped hundreds of people achieve states of being they never thought possible. These programs combine emotional healing, energetic clearing and shifting ways of thinking.
