Miles Asaph Norton

Miles Asaph Norton, 93, passed away February 27, 2007, in Fallbrook, CA. Born February 24, 1914, in Santa Ana, CA, he was a resident of Fallbrook for 61 years.

Mr. Norton graduated from USC with a Bachelor of Science in geology. He played football for USC, served in the US Coast Guard during WWII, was a board member of the Mission Resource Conservation District and was a past board member of the Fallbrook Elementary School District. He was also an avocado and citrus farmer for more than 60 years.

Mr. Norton is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dorothy Norton, Fallbrook; son John Norton, Oxnard, CA; daughters and son-in-law Nancy & Mark Bower, Covina, CA, and Mary Norton, North Hollywood, CA; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

There will be a private cremation.
