Bonsall West beginning kindergarten registration

Bonsall West Elementary School began accepting kindergarten registration for the 2007-2008 school year on March 1. Packets are available in the school office between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. while school is in session. An evening registration event will take place Wednesday, March 28, at 6 p.m.

To be eligible for kindergarten, a child must be 5 years of age on or before December 2, 2007. Students born between June 1 and December 2, 2002, are eligible to enroll in the optional Early Kindergarten program.

Parents must provide a valid birth certificate and a current immunization record. Children will not be admitted unless all necessary immunizations are complete. A waiver is available for children whose medical conditions or personal family beliefs forbid immunization. All kindergarten students are required to complete a current Child Health and Developmental Prevention exam and Oral Health Assessment form. Forms are included with the registration packet.

Proof of residency within the Bonsall West Elementary School boundary will be required at time of registration. Closing escrow papers, mortgage book or statement, HOA fee statement, homeowner’s insurance statement, lease agreement, rent receipt and utility bills are acceptable forms of proof providing the parent/guardian’s name and street address appear on the document submitted.
