Palomar Computer Science & Information Systems offers Career Day

SAN MARCOS — Palomar College’s Computer Science & Information Systems (CSIS) Department will host Career Day on Thursday, March 29, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the B Building on the San Marcos campus, 1140 West Mission Road.

The CSIS Career Day is open to the public and free of charge. The event is an opportunity for community members to explore high-paying, in-demand careers in the occupations of computer programmer/analyst, video game programmer, networking administrator (Linux, Cisco, MCSE), desktop supporter, computer engineer, Oracle database administrator, Web developer and others. Business professionals working in computer-related fields will share inside information on how to choose a career path and prepare for and get a job. Palomar’s degree and certificate programs in computer technology fields can be explored. A special section for persons interested in subsequent transfer to California State University, San Marcos will be offered.
