'Bye, Bye, Birdie' to open

FALLBROOK — The Fallbrook High School choral music department is proud to present the comedic rock ’n roll classic “Bye, Bye, Birdie” at the Bob Burton Performing Arts Center March 16-24. This 1960s spoof of the Army’s induction of Elvis Presley (“Conrad Birdie”) was written by Charles Strouse and Lee Adams. The production features direction and choreography by Diane Felthous, musical direction by Elizabeth Thompson and stage management by Valerie La Spisa.

The cast includes Fallbrook High School students Kayla Alonso, Brianna Alvarez, Jenna Anguiano, Greta and Lincoln Baillif, Mandy Bayless-Lee, Celene Conley, Madison Donoghue, Natalee Frame, Olivia Haugen, Emily Holman, Ofelia Jimenez, Nick Korean, Susan Lee, Michelle McAfee, Christine McKissick, Erica Morales, Wade Munson, Austin Murray, Owain Roberts, Grant Turley, Devin Welsh, Frankie Westall and Forrest Whitfield as well as additional talents Chuck Clark, Kainan MacDonald, Robert Marshall and Rachel Wilson.

Tickets for the show are available from the cast members, the choral department at Fallbrook High and, of course, at the box office before each performance. Tickets can also be purchased in front of Major Market and Albertsons on Saturday, March 10, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Performances are at 7 p.m. March 16, 17, 23 and 24, with matinees at 2 p.m. on March 17 and 24.
