Ozuna selected Youth of the Year

FALLBROOK — Carlos Ozuna, 15, was selected as Youth of the Year for the Boys & Girls Clubs of North County at the recent Annual Awards and Recognition Dinner held at the Grand Tradition.

Ozuna was selected from three finalists for his commitment and outstanding achievements at the Boys & Girls Clubs of North County. The other two finalists were Cecilia Castro and Tyler Lukasik.

Ozuna’s commitment to the club includes volunteering at many club functions, representing the club at community events and participating in the club’s music program. He is often found helping younger members in the music room or assisting with the various productions the Boys & Girls Clubs of North County perform each year.

Ozuna plans to attend college to major in music. He is an accomplished songwriter and has written and recorded over 40 original songs.

For his selection as Youth of the Year, Ozuna received a Youth of the Year plaque, an engraved wristwatch and a $100 cash award.

Ozuna will serve as a spokesperson for the Boys & Girls Clubs of North County throughout 2007.
