Fallbrook 4-H group visits Sunlet Nursery

FALLBROOK — On February 20, Fallbrook 4-H’s Floriculture Group took a tour at Sunlet Nursery. Janet Kister led the tour of the nursery, which is owned and run by her husband, John.

Located in Fallbrook, Sunlet specializes in indoor flowering plants and select foliage plants. The group toured greenhouses filled with gorgeous plants, such as the pink Splash and the Christmas Cactus. Each 4-H member was generously given these plants to take home and was taught how to care for them. They learned about the opportunities in the business of floriculture, which is the leading industry in San Diego’s agriculture. The floriculture industry even comes above the avocado market.

The 4-H Floriculture Group reported that they had a fantastic time and would like to thank the Kisters for their generosity.
