Weldon L. Gregg

Weldon L. Gregg, 82, passed away March 8, 2007, at Fallbrook Hospital. Born August 17, 1924, in Belton, TX, he was a resident of Fallbrook 47 of years.

Mr. Gregg retired from the United States Marine Corps as a Master Sergeant in 1970 after 27 years of service. He served on Guadalcanal in WWII and in Vietnam and was a member of VFW Post 1924, Fallbrook Masonic Lodge #317, the 1st Marine Division Assn. and the Marine Distinguished Shooters Assn.

Mr. Gregg was preceded in death by parents Elisha and Fannie Gregg, sons Douglas Gregg in 1988 and David Gregg in 2004, brother Judge J. Gregg in 2007 and wife of 62 years Violet Gregg. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law Delanna and Alan Hur, New Zealand; daughters-in-law Paula Gregg, Valley Center, and Jane McCabe, Willits, CA; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Pauline and John Wasson, Gig Harbor, WA; grandchildren Eric and Mary Gregg, Aaron and Shar Gregg, Christian and Robin Hur, and Brian Hur; and great-grandchildren Evan Gregg, Logan Gregg and Ava Hur.

There was a funeral at Berry-Bell & Hall Mortuary on March 14, 2007, with inurnment following at Fallbrook Masonic Cemetery, Fallbrook, with military honors.
