Angels pay a visit to Pendleton

CAMP PENDLETON — Camp Pendleton’s Las Flores Adobe National Historic Landmark welcomed a visit from the Fallbrook Angel Society on March 12 to celebrate the Society’s recent donation of $2,500 to the restoration project, thereby helping the Docents reach their goal of $20,000 in matching funds that is necessary to receive a San Diego County grant. The occasion was marked with a short recognition ceremony and a tour was given of the unusual two-story 1860s adobe home for approximately 20 directors of the Angel Society.

The Angel Society of Fallbrook, a nonprofit organization operated totally by volunteers, uses proceeds from the Angel Thrift Shop, member dues and other donations to fund requests for worthy community projects. All of the merchandise sold in the Angel Shop comes from community donations. The Angel Shop is open for business Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. located at 1002 South Main in Fallbrook.
