Abdelrahmans celebrate 20th anniversary

Gina and Khaled Abdelrahman of Fallbrook celebrated their 20-year wedding anniversary on March 23, 2007.

They met in 1986 in Amsterdam, Holland. Khaled, who is from Cairo, Egypt, was working in Amsterdam. Gina, who is from Redondo Beach, CA, was working as a nanny in Brussells, Belgium. They met on a weekend trip Gina took with a friend to Amsterdam.

After a courtship period, Khaled and Gina traveled to Cairo to meet his family and got married in a civil ceremony. They moved back to California and lived in Los Angeles, then several years in Egypt, and now mostly in Fallbrook, with trips to Egypt to immerse their daughter Sabrine, 17, and son Mourad, 6, in their Egyptian cultural heritage.
