Fallbrook Senior Cribbage wins another one

On February 22, the Fallbrook Senior Center team squeaked out another close win in the Senior Challenge Cribbage match. Fallbrook won 54 games to Oceanside’s 51.

Oceanside had the top three places while tournament director Obie Weeks walked off with first place, winning all seven games with a skunk. In second was Bob Herzog with six wins to edge out Carl Troupe, who had five wins and a skunk. Rounding out the top eight were Fallbrook peggers Bill McGinness, Ted Moody, Barb Sacic, Ethel Williams and George Jones, who all had five wins.

The $25 gift card donated by the Albertsons store on Mission Avenue in Oceanside was won by Bill McGinness.

Matches are held the fourth Thursday of each month and consist of seven games.

The next match will be held March 22 at the Vista Elks Lodge, 1947 East Vista Way. The Lodge may be contacted at (760) 724-1968. Play begins at 12:30 p.m. All who enjoy cribbage are invited to come and join the fun. Those who would like lunch are asked to arrive by 11:30 a.m.
