Volunteer interns needed at Women's Resource Center

The Women’s Resource Center in Oceanside needs volunteer interns for Crisis Intervention, Advocacy for Sexual Assault (SART) and Domestic Violence (DVRT) Response Teams. The next training begins Tuesday, April 3, and ends on Wednesday, May 2. The training meets every Tuesday and Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 10:15 p.m. and full days Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Training topics include but are not limited to Crisis Intervention, Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, Homelessness, Incest and Adults Molested as Children, Drugs and Alcohol, Victims’ Rights, Depression and Suicide.

Each participant completing the full training will receive a certificate approved by the State of California’s Office of Emergency Services for the three positions referenced above.
