Celebrate the '50s April 14

FALLBROOK — Fallbrook Film Factory invites the community to dust off their leather jackets and take out their poodle skirts as they slip back in time to the 1950s.

On April 14 at 6 p.m. at the Mission Theater, the club will be showing “Grease” in a sing-along format, encouraging audience members to belt out the tunes right alongside the movie. They will also be showing a second ’50s comedy spoof, “When Bananas Go Bad,” in homage to classic B-monster movies.

After the films, the group will head to Fallbrook High School for a sock hop. There will be a hip dance competition and prizes for the best costumes, as well as other unique surprises. This event promises to offer great fun for the whole family.

Tickets, available at the Mission Theater, are $20 for the event.

The Fallbrook Film Factory will be planning a family community event every other month. Future attractions shall include “Buffalo Soldiers,” “Dean LeCrone vs. the Mutants of Comic Con,” the silent film “Orphans of the Storm” and many other exciting movies and events. Janie and Brandon Chesney are event coordinators. For more information, call (760) 723-8916.
