Potter staffers hold chili cook-off

The staff of Potter Junior High School recently “fired things up” with their first chili cook-off. Many staff members entered their favorite chili recipes, including “Aunt Elaine’s ‘When Pritikin Was In,’” “Grandma’s Chili,” “Granny Goose’s Chili,” “Muy Bueno Chili,” “Noname Chili,” “The Coolest Chili in Town,” “Turkey Chili,” “Luck o’ the Irish Chili” and “Camping Chili” (which looked remarkably similar to an unopened can of Hormel).

The competition was fierce, but one chili reigned supreme: Lisa Manring’s “Muy Bueno Chili,” which...
